christmas was really nice and peaceful this year we have now moved on to a new year and an exciting one with a new president.olivia has written a paper we would like to share with you-
This election has made history for our nation.Today the first African-American has become president for the United States.Barak Obama was sworn into office this morning.He has made a promise to change the way we live-all that needs changing.We honor him and the people of America honor his choices.Today the inauguration was amazing-inspirational.Our new president has made the citizens believe that new beginnings exist,that second chances do not only happen in stories.Obamas beliefs are powerful and create not only temporary, but permanant hope for our reborn country.

Well put, Olivia! It was a special day for Kevin, Liam and me as well. My Feature Writing class met right at the time of the inauguration, and we had a potluck brunch and watched the festivities on the big screen, streamed live via CNN. We are all filled with hope!
